MG X80
The X80 was first introduced to the motoring public at the
Frankfurt motor show in 2001. The X80 was described at the time as luxury high
performance 2 + 2 coupe expected to compete directly with Porsche 911, Maserati
3200GT, and the Jaguar XK8. The car featured a 385 BHP 4.6 lire v8, electronic
traction control, ABS brakes and. a super formed aluminium body mounted to steel
box section chassis. Very clear styling cues evident in the MG TF were
taken forward from this vehicle. At the time the car was expected to retail in
the UK at a staring price of £50,000. Sadly the financial storm clouds were
gathering at MG Rover and this luxury MG never made it to the showroom in 2002
as planned.
MG SV
The SV is often described at the Ultimate MG and is
undoubtedly a super car from what ever perspective it is viewed. The body is
constructed from Carbon Fibre and features a full FIA roll cage. Power is
derived from a Ford V8 engine delivering 320 - 400 BHP depending on the
specification. Between 50 and 100 cars were sold many of which are in use as
road cars. Would it fit in your garage
